Hotel Goldener Hecht

The Goldener Hecht effortlessly combines a long tradition of hospitality with all the comforts of a modern hotel.
This traditional hotel is currently managed by the 3rd generation of the Rothe family. The proprietress, Eva Rothe, has had the historical building completely renovated and carefully modernised. Amongst many famous guests, there was one even more famous 'almost' guest. The great German poet, Goethe, once asked for lodgings at the 'Goldener Hecht', but his luck was out: all the rooms were occupied.
